“ Tantalising cuisine in a vibrant setting where the staff never fall short of curtesy and hospitality. Highly recommended! The Scallop and Caviar is a must have! ”
“ We recently visited China Tang The Dorchester to celebrate a birthday, and it truly lived up to the expectations. Having experienced some of the finest Chinese cuisine in mainland China, I was delighted to find that the fare at China Tang is the closest Ive had to that authentic quality here in the UK. One of the standout highlights for me was the fact that the restaurant offers Halal options, allowing me to savor dishes like the exquisite beef fillet something I would highly recommend to anyone visiting. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the presentation was elegant, and the quality of the ingredients shone through in every bite. From the opulent setting to the attentive service, the experience was exceptional. China Tang seamlessly blends the charm of a traditional Chinese dining atmosphere with the sophistication youd expect at The Dorchester. For those seeking an elevated Chinese dining experience in London, this is undoubtedly a toptier choice. I look forward to returning! ”
“ Exquisite meal! Always a lovely experience when being at the Dorchester hotel and a first time trying China Tang and it was worth the wait. The service was one of the highlights, waitress were very attentive. A classy restaurant and the food will be on mind for a while for how tasty some of the dishes were! ”
“ Arriving at the side door of The Dorchester in the rain to learn that you cant access the restaurant from that side at lunch was disappointing and wet. Teaches me to be early I guess. Anyway, into the main reception and then we sat in the lobby for a bit and then on to the restaurant. A dark, retro, underground place that looks dingy and classy at the same time. Its was a Friday lunch and we were the first to arrive. It was easy to book, and that always starts to worry me perhaps its not that good. But then we ordered the food sooo much choice, from mega expensive 70 per dish scallops to reasonable priced dim sum dishes. We had a selection of dim sums and then some rice and crispy fried beef. I say some rice it was a wagyu with black rice dish and it was immense. And yes i ordered crispy shredded beef because at 28 i wanted, nay needed, to see whether they could elevate it beyond basic. Short answer damn straight they can. Every dim sum was beautiful, flavourful and perfectly made. The drinks were special too. I had the herbal mocktail and it was like drinking Asian flavours. Amazing. Ive seen comments about service, but I felt it was decent. Not star winning, but still efficient and friendly. ”
“ China Tang at The Dorchester is a fantastic spot for authentic Chinese cuisine in a refined yet cozy setting. The dim sum selection is outstanding, with a variety of classic and creative options, including excellent vegetarian choices. Each dish is crafted with precision, bursting with fresh flavors and delicate textures. Beyond the dim sum, the menu offers a wide array of Cantonese specialties, and the service is impeccableattentive without being intrusive. The ambiance exudes oldworld charm, making it perfect for both intimate dinners and special occasions. Ill definitely be returning to explore more of the menu, especially the highly recommended roasted meats. A mustvisit for lovers of fine Chinese cuisine in London. ”
“ George is the best bartender and the Kiwi Sour and Shen Yun cocktails were simply out of this world. So incredibly delicious and unique. Food outrageously yummy and flavorful. Great music, clean bathrooms. The toilet paper was folded and everything is so thoughtfully planned out. 1010 recommend. ”
“ The Food was superb, the service was excellent as we had booked for a private dining room PING with a circular table. All booking arrangements were handled very efficiently by Holmes Lai. The table service was supervised by Tammy, John Su Dolan in a highly professional manner with attention to detail. We had selected the full menu including the drinks one week before the event. So there was no delay in the food items to be served. The best items of food that we liked were Vegetable Spring Rolls, Deep Fried Prawn Won Ton, and Sir Davids Hot and Sour Soup. The main course was delicious including Wild Steamed Sea Bass with Chopped Chilli and StirFried Fillet of Beef in Black Pepper. StirFried Egg Noodles with Soya Sauce and Bean Sprouts were the best noodles I have ever tasted. ”
“ Had a fantastic lunch here, catching up with family. Great staff and good food. Good decor too, and plenty of space at the tables. Had to ask a few times for a beer that didnt appear, but everything else was good. ”
